Server Plugin Failed Error in TIBCO Administrator


We usually do BW application deployments through Administrator (or) by using AppManage command from command line (or) through by any automated scripts(which internally uses AppManage commands). Sometimes TIBCO Administrator shows "Server plugin failed" error in Configuration-->Deployed Configuration tab of deployed application(s).

Resolution :

Case-1 :: If Admin and BW are on same machine :

  • Restart Hawk and redeploy the application.
  • if it doesn't solves the issue then restart both Hawk and Admin and redeploy the application.

  • Case-2 :: If Admin and BW are on different machines :

  • Restart Hawk on Admin machine and redeploy the application.
  • if it doesn't solves the issue then restart both Hawk and Admin on Admin machine and redeploy the application.
  • even if it doesn't solves the issue then finally restart Hawk on BW machine and redeploy the application.
